Resolutions, New and Old
January 13, 2008
I’m a big fan of new year’s resolutions. I think they keep me focused and on task over time. Last year I made up my mind to pay off a chunk of debt (check), learn to invest in stocks (check), spend underneath my means (check), ween myself off coffee (check) and my biggest challenge, quit smoking (check!)
This year I’m determined to bring my lunch to work at least three times a week, go to the gym at least three times a week, get better at photography, play my guitar more often, read more books, paint the inside of my house and set up a system to recycle consistently. Oh, and to stop picking on people quite as much (especially Jason).
Does anyone else have any accomplishments from last year or goals for this one to share?
Last year I was pregnant and playing online games that I didnt make any goals for myself so this year I want to make sure that I complete them.
I have goals (I hate saying resolutions – it sounds so permanent) I would like to work out 4x a week so I can get in shape to climb the mountain that Josh and Julian want to climb without having an asthma attack. I want to learn 2-3 new recipes a week and not eat out so much. I’m cutting back on what I eat and drink. Cut back on spending, complete more sewing projects and learn to knit and practice on my keyboard more. Whew I hope I can get that all done this year
I’m so proud of you with your goals and acheiving them. How exciting to know that you are dipping into frugality oh my gosh you wouldn’t believe all the websites and blogs there are about that….the best being dollar stretchers especally because of their archives that’s http://www.stretcher.com
